Fonda, NY- Anne C. Sullivan, 82 of Streeter Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville with her loving family at her side. Born November 3, 1934 in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Martin Cluen. She moved to the Fonda area with her husband Joseph in 1958. Anne was a graduate of the William Cullen Bryant High School in Long Island, NY, Class of 1953. Before moving to this area she worked for Republic Aviation on Long Island. She later attended FMCC, where she became a certified Teaching Assistant and was employed by the Fonda- Fultonville Central School District for 24 years, retiring in 1995 Anne was a Parishioner of the St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church in Fonda. She was a former member of the Town of Mohawk Ladies Auxiliary. Anne’s greatest love was her husband, children and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and loved watching Jeopardy. On May 18, 1957 she married Joseph J. Sullivan, Jr.. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Joseph (Debra) Sullivan III of Mayfield, Matt (Wendy) Sullivan of Fonda and Kenneth (Colleen) Sullivan of Randall; her daughter, Anne (Shawn) Krutz of Mayfield; a brother, Edward Cluen of Coco Beach, Florida; 11 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, Broadway, Fonda, with the Rev. Christopher Welch as celebrant. Private burial will take place in the spring at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY.
