Alfred F. Alfini, Jr., 72, of Gloversville NY has gone to his eternal rest on Friday September 2nd, 2016. Born on September 9th, 1943 in Johnstown NY, he was the son of the late Christina Viscosi and Alfredo Alfini. Alfred attended Johnstown High School before marrying the love of his life Shirley A. Alfini on February 16th, 1963. It was a strong and beautiful union that lasted until her passing in 2006. Alfred was an accomplished electrician, employed with Warren Electric in Gloversville NY as a store manager until his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service. Alfred was an honest, personable and hardworking man. He was an avid camper who enjoyed cooking and barbecuing with his family. He enjoyed wood working, particularly making cabinets and furniture for his friends and family. He will be remembered for being an incredible and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Alfred is survived by his son Ronald Alfini and daughter Lisa (Rich) Weatherby; his sisters, Anna Palmer and Marilyn Hamm; his grandchildren; Tyler Alfini, Dominic Alfini, Vincent Alfini, Alex Weatherby, Braydon Weatherby, and Alaina Weatherby. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Alfred is predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley; his parents Christina and Alfredo; and his sisters Theresa Furnari and Carolyn Stradone. A Graveside Service will be held for Alfred on Tuesday September 6th, 2016 at 11am at Bleecker Lutheran Cemetery, Bleecker NY.
