Dolores P. Bozek, 72, of Gloversville died peacefully on August 29, 2016 following a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 15, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Agnes Marotta Hazzard. A lifelong area resident, Dolores graduated from Gloversville High School in 1962. She worked for Key Bank and the Leader- Herald. Dolores was of the Roman Catholic faith as was a parishioner of Church of the Holy Spirit in Gloversville. She also taught religion and was a member of the Women’s Soriety of the former Mt. Carmel Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudy Bozek; and her brothers Frank and Gerald Hazzard. Survivors include her sister Roseann (John) Auriemma; a niece, Darlene (Joe) DiCarlo; and many cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11a.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9a.m. at the funeral home.
