Thomas F. Engle, 56, of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Friday morning June 13, 2014 at Home. Born in Amsterdam on September 27, 1957, he is the son of Mahlon Engle of Amsterdam and the late Rhea Dreaney Engle. Tom received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of WilburH. Lynch High School. Tom was formerly employed as a mechanic for the City of Amsterdam Department of Transportation. Besides his father, Tom is survived by one son, Daniel Engle (Stephanie of Johnstown, NY; one daughter Michelle Miller (Gregory) of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Dominick Engle and Emma Frank of Johnstown and Brooke Miller of Wilmington, two nieces, Rebecca Hadley of Broadalbin, NY, and Renee Martin of Charlton, NY. Tom is also survived by several cousins. Tom was also predeceased by a sister, Dorrie Engle in 2002. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam with Pastor Mark Appell officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Riley Mortuary from 10:00 to 12:00 noon, prior to the service.
